RTLS (Real-Time Locating System) is a combination of wireless hardware and real-time software that is used to continuously determine the real time positions of enterprise resources to achieve total enterprise visibility.

“Enterprise visibility” essentially implies that each and every object, human being and the environment of any enterprise would be visible anytime, anywhere in real-time offering better resource and environment management

The basis of PervCom’s RTLS system is active RF tag attached to object, which emits periodic beacon through the air.

Wireless Active Localizers/Routers are placed at strategic locations around the tracking zone forming a wireless mesh network that serves as a wireless backbone to carry tag data in multi-hops to the remote host system.

The location of a tagged object is determined in terms of the nearest Localizer (with known location) that receives the emitted beacons from a tag with maximum signal strength (louder reception means closer proximity).
